Halloween: Mermaid Look

Another much requested Halloween look: Mermaids!! This was kind of a pain in the ass to do because my sequins were just not cooperating, but I think the labor of love paid off in the end! I don't know exactly how long this makeup took to do but I think 1 1/2 to 2 hours would not be totally off. If you want to do this look, make sure to allow for adequate time to get everything glued on. Sequins can be purchased at any craft or fabric store.

By the way isn't the intro music cheesetastic? Reminds me of the Little Mermaid, that's why I chose it. Under da seeeeeea *gulp*....*splutter* Yikes I think I choked on some floating by seaweed! Ahem!

Face
Revlon Colorstay foundation in Ivory, assorted sequin pack from a craft store, Ben Nye Glitter Glue

  15. Such a great idea Julia! I would have never put sequins on my face, but obviously it works really well! I was just thinking that it would also look great to do like a big spider all over the face with black and grey sequins. Maybe it would be a little tacky, but I wouldn´t care. What do you think?

  22. Hi, Julia!! I just want to tell you that I think you are a very cool woman, I really like your videos and I'm a huge fan. I just saw your video of the book that you've been reading, I haven't hear about them but I think I'll search them soon.
I also wanna to tell you that I've just finish this books that I found great, the main book is flowers in the atic it's from V.C. Andrews, they're pretty old, from the eighties I think. I really really would like if you could read them and let me know what you think because personally, I haven't read anything like this before. honestly I dare to say that it changed my way to see life.
I need to warn you, it's a very sad history, I cried a lot with it, but still I fell in love with it.
I need your opinion because, there was a movie about this books, back to the eighties, but it wasn´t a very good one, they censored many parts of the history and I feel that they need justice jaja...
Any way, let me know what you think, I hope you have enough time and if you not, don't worry, I can wait..
    so..
    take care. B-bye

Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I used this to complete a mermaid costume and it was perfect! I went to a beach party (back in Feb) and won best dress which won me an Ipad!

Thanks for posting these awesome face paint/makeup looks.
I'm going to use the circus one for a circus party this Friday, hopefully it helps me win there too!
