This look is inspired by Carnival, which is traditionally celebrated in February (I think) in Germany, as well as some neighbouring European countries like Switzerland and Austria. It's similar to Mardi Gras, which is more known in North America. I decided to go for a really colourful, cheerful, and creative mask as it's a great idea for wearing to a masked ball, and an opportunity to practice your skills.

Hey i love you blog, followd it for a wile now. Here's some info about carnival (for the ppl that don't know what it is):
ReplyDeleteCarnival is a catholic holiday, it was originally celebrated before the weeks of fasting. It begins on the 11th of the 11th the fools number. Then the prince of carnaval is chosen and all the preperations begin. Carnaval originally started in Vienna but soon spred to other catholic countries like Germany, Holland, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus and more. The festiveties include fireworks, parades and costume balls. It begins on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday, Ash wensday is the first day of lent and occurs forty-six days (forty days not counting Sundays) before Easter. Just thought some ppl would like to know more about carnival!! I'm from holland so we celebrate it to, even the non-catholic ppl. And they don't really fast any more.
